World No. 17 Chetan Anand will spearhead India's badminton campaign in the Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi next month, according to a release of the Badminton Association of India.
Saina Nehwal, who beat Tracy Hallam of England when helping India to mixed team bronze in Melbourne four years ago, has been in a good form this season winning three back to back titles and will be a strong contender for the women’s singles gold medal. Chetan Anand, who won men’s singles bronze in Melbourne Games, will be hoping to do better at home.according ti cwgdelhi2010
Shuttler Saina Nehwal is considered one of India's best medal hopes: Saina Nehwal is confident of a good performance at the XlX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi but she prefers not to take anything for granted as she feels even one bad shot can derail her gold medal bid.
"The competition is not as tough as the World Championship but all these girls would be coming prepared and you never know what happens. At times, when you are tense, you play a bad shot and there is no coming back," said Saina.
